Robert Pitt

1975-1976 / Two-Year Diploma (Henderson Campus)

I still have valuable friendships from my College years, 1975 & 1976. Principal David Stewart lovingly gave me support and direction through times of difficulty.

I remember the hymn, "Oh Lord and Father of mankind forgive our foolish ways" - this hymn was quickly chosen by Prof Blaiklock in response to an April Fool’s Day prank. There was confusion - the musician played a tune other than the one he had directed students to sing, which was different again from the one listed on the programme for that session. Forgive indeed!

While at College, I received a strong respect for the Bible, as a base for following and knowing Jesus.

I then returned to telecom technician work in Australia and became part of local churches and various similar organisations. I got married and we had two children. I’ve been involved in voluntary roles in supporting folks with disabilities. (Our son with disabilities died at age 32.)

Currently, I continue being part of a local church and am "retired" from paid work.

I am grateful for God’s kindness, mercy, and constancy.
